It was a long wait as most of the entries came months ago, but it proved rewarding for 11 of the finalists. Eight people won honourable mention prizes of $50, but the real reward was in the top-3.
Tombuzz of Belgium was inspired by the competition and submitted 3rd place entry winning $100 for his showcase. There was stiff competition and spirited efforts all around, but Trickshot58 of Holland managed to find himself in 2nd place.
In a theme of northward moving prizes and geography, it was fitting that longtime regular and PoolStars aficionado Redhouse, who hails from Norway, would submit the most impressive entry according to our professional judge, Nick van den Berg.
It is a shame that nobody from Iceland submitted an entry to test the theory that high attitude equals trick shooting perfection. There is always next time.
