TIPS AND ADVICES

We realize making a video might be a little bit advanced for most users, but don't worry, most people should be able to at least upload simple videos of their trick shots.

It is really quite simple to save a shot with PoolStars software. In game mode or in practice mode simply save the shot from the menu in the bottom right of the game, and then you can open this file and PoolStars will automatically play back the replay as many times as you need. You can even slightly alter the positions of balls if you click undo after the replay has played.

If you want to save this video in an editable format, it may get a little more difficult depending on you experience with digital video. You will need to capture a video of your screen. You could do this with a camcorder of the screen, but the easier way would be to use a 3rd party screen capture facility.

We recommend using FRAPS to capture the in game video as opposed to Camtasia or other screen capture products. These will also work as well but may conflict with the capturing. FRAPS is a program made especially to capture things within 3D game environments.

Once you have captured your video, you can edit it using Windows Movie Maker, or iMovie on a Mac. With even these entry level programs, you can create almost anything you can imagine. There are many resources online dedicated to just using these programs.

After that, all you need to do is upload your video to YouTube and follow the guidelines to enter. We also suggest adding keywords (like "pool", "online pool", "PoolStars" or "trick shot") to your video on YouTube so it can be found and accessed easier.

GOOD LUCK!
