PoolStars offered a $12,500 2008 World Series of Poker main event package through a 9-ball pool tournament held on PoolStars.
The final tournament took place June 7th, 2008, and Poelspeuler, a 33 year old from Finland beat out 256 other players who qualified throughout the month of May to win his seat in the worlds premier poker tournament.
The WSOP takes place every summer in Las Vegas, Nevada, with thousands of the world's best poker players each putting up the $10,000 entry to play. (Unless they won thier entry on PoolStars of course!)
