I was just wondering whether the jump shots should be a little less precise and therefore be more realistic. In real pool, jump shots-successful ones- are much harder than on pool stars. When we play a great snooker or covering shot the other player simply raises the but and power and gets out of it. The other 'angle' of course is that few shots are attempted using the cushions to escape.

Agreed it makes it more of a game than a simulation. You rarely see a jump shot in a live game where as it is often the best shot to play here.

Jump shots are still to blimmin easy. Please make jump shots much more difficult. In the real game jump shots...I've never seen one, except by accident!
Anyway I will continue to look for the right angles and won't be jumping anytime soon.

Hello. Jump shots are penalized, they random factor are increased, depending from how higth you rise the cue stick. So they never be so accurate as normal shots. However, in some cases jump shot can be better than regular shot.

You think, what we do not penalized it enouth?

We will be selling artifact cues in the store soon. I'm not sure if the default cue will get less accurate. But you will be able to purchase more accurate cues to play with.

A Player in real pool or virtual pool if he has adequate knowledge of the game will out think, therefore out play his or her opponent. I wouldn't worry about the hoppers, they're trying to win just like the rest of us. The problem for them is taking the long road to success. Take it or leave it for what it is worth. I jump too, when I have to, if left without good option!! Truth be told

blasted JUMP SHOTS are ruining poolstars for me. The game is just hit and hope and if you get stuck do a jump shot(against the rules of physics).

i kind of agree with this. in my opinion, others don't take safeties seriously as they know they can get out of it 99% of the time doing jump shots. that feature should be awarded more to long-time players as opposed to new players, who in fact, can not run out basic layout of balls.

we all know that this is just a pc game, but in reality, before a player even learns how to jump, he practices basic shots first and learn them. in poolstars, those newly signed up players are able to, if not hit balls off a jump shot, make them from a distance! that is not realistic, in my opinion.
