Biggest flaws

Having played this game a bit more during the last week, i have noticed that im liking it more and more. It was a lot of fun to play freerolls with a chance to win real money, and now that ps money has been launched I found it fun to play for those too Smile.

That said, I still have a few opinions on what's not so good in the game:

1. Right/left english.
Using left and right english to control the cueball is a pretty big part of playing real pool, but in this game hardly anyone uses it. This is because of 2 things. Nr 1: It barely has an effect off rails. Nr 2: It makes aiming really awkward, and changes the course of the cueball a bit too much.

2. Positioning the cuetip.
This feels very choppy and could be done much smoother. Should feel like i can put the tip anywhere i want to, but now it feels like it moves too much whenever i move the tip. And on screen the cue moves way too much as soon as i put the tip a bit to the side.

3. Jumps.
Jumping is way too easy and unrealistic. This makes safety play less important, since you dont wannt watch your opponent jump the ball that's 1 mm in front of white after your perfect snooker. Perhaps you could restrict positioning of the cuetip, or add miscues to make jumps more real.

Those are my major gripes with the game. Enjoying it though, hope the ps thing takes off!

No, aiming is fine - I was talking about positioning the cuetip on the cueball for applying different spins. Shift doesn't make a difference for this.

Having played for 2 more months, I still feel that left/right english is the biggest problem in the game. And also how slowly the spins grip on the table. I might make some vids to illustrate.

"It barely has an effect off rails." This has been an issue long before they put those red dots on the cueball. I wonder when will they fix it.Rolleyes
