I'm a bit confused as to how much i need to play to get that golden star. I played over 200 games in the first week of the qualifying period and, thinking that was enough, didn't play as much this week. However I must not have played enough because I have no golden star.
Is it that races to 5 count as just 1 game for this purpose? In either case, it would be nice to be able to see how many games I have left to play to get to a certain VIP level.

Suggestion noted, you should be able to see how much remaining. You can check on your profile page games played during week at least.
That's the one I was looking at to keep count, and according to that I played more than 200 matches in one week, but I was still not made a gold member.
It says that you need 700 PS$ games in a 4 week period to get elite status and 200 in a 2 week period to be gold.
What exactly is a PS$ game? Is a race to 5 for 250 PS$ only one PS game?
The races are what gives most PS back to Poolstars (since you have to play them at high stakes), yet they are not rewarded by more than 1 PS game played per match... ergo it takes a lot longer to get a VIP level by playing them. Would be nice if all games were counted... or if you could get a VIP level depending on how much you have given in rake to Poolstars, like award systems on many poker clients.
