8 ball rule discrepancies/bugs

There are many discrepancies so I'll use Poolstars Rules to make it easier to categorise them.
2 The Break
#c If the shooter fails to drive enough object balls to the rail on the break, the opponent has the option of accepting the position or re-racking the balls and breaking himself.

no re-rack option available

#d If the shooter scratches or jumps a ball of the table on an otherwise legal break, then the opponent has only the option of ball in hand behind the headstring. The opponent must contact an object ball after the headsting in this situation or otherwise it is considered a foul.

The game allows the opponent to play ball in hand anywhere on the table as long as they play a ball ahead of the headstring - this is incorrect, they are only allowed to play ball in hand from behind the headstring line and must play forward as stated above.

#e A player potting the 8-ball legally on the break or break re-rack, wins the game automatically.

no, the game makes it an automatic loss for the player that pots the 8 ball on an otherwise legal break and is probably caused by a conflict with rule 5b:
#b Potting the 8-ball before the final shot is considered a loss of game.
so the rules ALSO need to be revised to read, "...unless potted legally on the break, see rule 2e"

3 Open Table (Stripes/Solids)
The table is considered open the shot immediately following the break regardless of how many balls were pocketed on the break.
#c If a legal object ball is pocketed and the shooter scratches or otherwise fouls, then the table is still considered open for the opponents next shot (with ball in hand).

no, the game does not leave it as open table, it recognises the foul and gives ball in hand, but still awards the player that fouled, the colour group for the ball that was potted.

These errors are frustrating for experienced players that are familiar with the rules and will be confusing for new players who will believe that the Poolstars Rules are correct.

Thank you very much for your comments and remember that the 8-ball is still in beta testing.

We will work to solve these things quickly.
