PoolStars Qualifier Patrick Smolenaers Out of WSOP
9 Jul, 2008Patrick Smolenaers was looking to take down the $9.1 million prize up for grabs in Las Vegas. However getting through the 6,800 entrants is quite a challenge. His QQ found it's way all-in preflop against AK on the first day, but luck would not be on his side as a King came on the river.
Patrick, who plays under the name Poelspeuler, was lucky enough to win his $12,500 WSOP package right here on PoolStars through a 9-ball freeroll. We wish him the best in Las Vegas still, and hope that Steve Davis can continue his good play in the main event. He currently has 53,000 in chips and is in above average position.
